Hi I'm Lyna

My journey with makeup began during my university years, at the height of the YouTube beauty tutorial era—when creators like Michelle Phan inspired a whole generation to explore the art of makeup. While I never considered myself particularly artistic, I always had an eye for detail and the ability to replicate images exactly as I saw them. That same precision translated beautifully into makeup, where I discovered the transformative power of enhancing natural features through technique and structure. I started experimenting with different looks on myself for university events and special occasions, often recreating exact styles from tutorials. It was during these moments that I began to feel a newfound confidence, makeup became more than just an aesthetic tool; it became a way to express myself and let my inner light shine through.
After completing my degree in pharmacy, I continued doing makeup for friends and family, gradually realising how much joy it brought me. A year into working as a pharmacist, I experienced the devastating loss of a close family member. That difficult time was a turning point—it reminded me how unpredictable life can be, and how important it is to pursue what truly makes you happy. Motivated by that realisation, I enrolled in the Diploma of Specialist Makeup at Chisholm Institute. It was one of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve ever made, the first time I genuinely enjoyed studying and felt completely aligned with what I was doing.
Today, I balance two careers that I love: I work part-time as a pharmacist and part-time as a makeup artist. My background in healthcare helps me connect with clients on a deeper level, creating a calm, professional, and welcoming experience during appointments.
Makeup is my passion, my creative outlet, and my form of self-care. Nothing brings me more joy than helping my clients feel confident and radiant by enhancing their natural beauty, because when you feel beautiful on the outside, it has the power to uplift you from within.
